this COVID life: the series

Dec 6, 2020

When you’re staying in place because of a pandemic, the things you have to talk about are limited. I use whatifitdid.com as a place where I can share whatever I want and revisit it years later. Thing is… there’s a whole lot of nothin’ goin’ on ’round here. What is happening is sad and the outlook for the immediate future is sort of bleak.

I can tell y’all that I made peanut butter fudge. Or… how amazed Merida was that I cleaned the refrigerator…

Merida thinks the fridge looks great.

Or, I could talk about how awesome it is to Facetime my Mom. She looks great, doesn’t she?

I’m pretty sure every single person reading this is hoping for normal days ahead, and in the meantime, we’re all just doing the best we can.

The risk level in Alaska is green. Move there and be safe. Only one state is in the yellow which is still great… that’s Hawaii. The weather there is certainly better but the cost of living is above my paygrade. And, there are two orange states left — Maine and Vermont. By the time I’d get to either, they would also be red since they are currently teetering on the edge.

TIL (today I learned): Reindeer and Caribou are the same animal. In Europe, they are called reindeer. In North America, the animals are called caribou if they are wild and reindeer if they are domesticated. Check out this link for more info on Rudolph’s friends…
