the world would probably end if not for photo fails

Dec 23, 2020

Our family Christmas is a wrap and even COVID-19 didn’t ruin it for us. While not remotely close to traditional, it worked just fine in light of the circumstances. Let me say I would prefer not to have a repeat.

Mom asked that we take photos in front of the tree and I KNEW I should break out my camera since I’m stuck with this POS Android. But alas, I did not. Ben NEVER smiles in posed photos. Someone is exactly like him. At least they were both wearing shoes.

Colette was the photographer for me and Perry. Pretty sure Mom said she wanted a print made that contained photos of all of us. She’s going to be disappointed. It didn’t cross my mind that Coco would capture my bare feet or that we’d get photobombed by a moving Dharma. But I’m on my game with bad photos!

Me and Perry

Edit: Perry and I reviewed this photo about 13-hours after I published this post and noticed that the way my hair is on my shoulder makes me look as if I have no neck on the back side of my head. It looks like my neck was formed on my chest or Quasimodo is a close relative. 😄

I cropped Dharma and my bare foot out and made the photo black and white. It’s still awful. When Perry saw the photo he said, “I’m old.” Seriously, y’all, he’s lucky to still be alive after that remark. How dare he make an age comment… especially when he’s 140 pounds soaking wet. I now feel like an ancient amazon granny! And sadly, Colette was ‘one and done’, so sorry, Mom. There’s always next year!

How severe the pandemic is in the places where people I care about are located…

Daily NEW COVID-19 cases (7 day moving average):
Indiana-80.4 (down); Jackson Co – 88.2 (down) — 8.05% infected (up); Florida 52.2 (up); Nevada – 73.3 (up)

TIL (today I learned): The man with the world’s longest-ever beard, four and a half feet long, broke his neck and died after tripping over it.
