old dogs and new tricks

Jan 25, 2021

I might be an old dog but I can still learn a few new tricks. For example, I survived my Android experience and even learned quite a bit about how to maneuver my way around the operating system. That does NOT mean I learned to like it.

When the FedEx dude dropped off a package yesterday, (on Sunday — even though the tracking said next Tuesday delivery), and I saw it was from my favorite brother, my stomach felt the same as when I walk into a casino and hear the machines paying out. I am so very thrilled to be back on an iPhone once again. Woot! Woot!

Dharma could care less about phones. Her priorities revolve around comfortable places to nap without a black heathen pestering her. Today was a win for both of us!

Happy COVID Monday, you guys!

I’ll admit, I didn’t think we’d still be dealing with the virus at this level for so long. Sheesh — I wonder if by the time normal comes back we’ll have forgotten what normal was even like.

Sure, I think COVID has been made political. On the other hand, I know it’s real, and scary, and something I prefer not to have. So I’m still just doing what I’ve been doing since March 2020. I’m holding out for a vaccine and even then will still wear a mask until the government tells me it’s safe not to.

Yah, I know… the government and the media lie to us all the time. But I’d rather be stupid and safe than base my actions upon info gleaned from the opinions of others — people who are no more an expert than I am on virology — and put anyone (including me!) at risk. I noticed that when our numbers were high locally, I knew more people who were sick. I guess the data can’t be totally wrong. Right? 🙂

How severe the pandemic is in the places where people I care about are located…
