SNOW! Yippee!! So excited to get enough snow to actually cover the ground. It’s beautiful and makes me happy. We had 5 inches in Seymour a couple hours ago, and it’s still coming down, albeit lightly.
Funny, our dogs coats are so incredibly different. Merida’s coat is close to her skin, shiny, slick and thin — in the cold and snow, it’s not much more protection than a light windbreaker. Dharma, on the other hand, has a THICK coat of hair that’s even wavy down the middle — she’s out feeling frisky in her North Face parka.
I may even have to post twice today — would hate for you Floridians and Las Vegas people to miss the beauty of Indiana in the wintertime. 🙂
PS. I’ve already let my boss know I couldn’t make it to work because of inclement weather conditions.
TIL (Today I Learned): There is a ship named the USS New York in the US Navy. It was forged partially from steel that was salvaged from the World Trade Center after it was destroyed in 9/11. The ship’s motto is “Strength forged through sacrifice. Never forget.“
