Today was Perry’s first day back to work after a week’s vacation of doing nothing. Monday hits like BAM! and so does fall temps and weather conditions. Here in southern Indiana, we’re not even supposed to sniff 60 degrees all week. If that’s not bad enough, it’s supposed to rain more than half the time.
I’m typing this during my second cup of coffee hoping it inspires me to go to war on this house. Besides a few work calls and related activities — and cooking and cleaning up those messes — I spent last week doing a darned fine job of being lazy. I figure I’ve inhaled enough floating dog hair for this lifetime! It’s time to catch up on laundry, cleaning, and all the regular housekeeping items that were ignored for the past 10-days. I’ll need another cup of coffee before starting. I’m sure of it.
New favorite coffee — Tim Hortons Dark Roast! A Canadian based franchise that opened in 1965, their dark roast blend is strong but not bitter. Try it out and thank me later.
Waiting on a couple new-build house proposals. Funny… when I submitted two plans for pricing I feared they were too small. Today, I’m thinking I don’t really need many square feet. Less to clean; less to heat/cool; less property taxes; and fewer smoke alarms. I have a smoke alarm that’s been chirping for low battery since about 7:00 AM. I can’t figure out which one it is because there’s 6. 😒
