At some point during my day I make it a point to read current happenings both locally and globally. I look at what’s trending and read the articles that interest me; check out the latest news and weather; and I scroll through Facebook. There’s one subject that is currently popping up in all those… and that’s disruption to the supply chain and medical system.
On a macro scale, the fear is that there’s a huge risk for a large-scale operational catastrophe that will effect not only medical care (for those with and without COVID), but will also impact manufacturing and education.
Because I’m in the events business, I always think about how trends pertain to what I do in addition to how it might effect me personally. For example… for future meetings, will it be hard to get food to serve a crowd? Find people willing to work — security, servers, food prep, etc.? Flights to and from?
It’s a good time NOT to be an operations manager for events. And of course, it’s not the best time to be an event planner or a professional speaker either. 🙂
Also trending is Goldie Hawn’s recent Instagram photo.
She’s 76 years-old and the masses can’t stop talking about her muscled arms. I had to click (personal interest and not professional) — primarily because she’s hugging her dog… a lab. She also shares short clips of herself exercising and… holy cow! I didn’t have her energy at 12. As a rapidly aging woman am I inspired? Sure — but I’ll start Monday. 😉
Goldie might have a great body for an old chick, but I’ve got something she doesn’t have!
TWO labs that are much cuter than hers.
