bring on the rain – no fear here

Apr 21, 2022

The local roofing company showed up before lunch today to fix the roof that leaked after the last big storm. Just across the street from me, my neighbor lost 8 trees during that same storm. I’m not sure why I assumed if trees were broken in half a stone’s throw away, this property wouldn’t have also had that same wind.

Dharma outside and Merida at the front window when the roofing truck pulled in the driveway, I slipped out the garage door. Dude wanted to see inside where I had the leak, and also in the attic before going on the roof. That’s when Merida saw him.

My happy, wiggly dog that loves EVERYONE, does not like smiling Hispanic men. She bristled up and growled. Like… a low-throated, mean growl!

I didn’t know if I should be proud or worried. 😉

It was all good news! The small leak caused no damage inside, and upon checking over the entire roof he found it to be in good condition after replacing a lost shingle. And… I found out my dog might just be more protective than I ever thought possible.

Looks can be deceiving.

Looking at those girls you’d probably think they’re pushovers. But maybe not.

That’s about 180 pounds of take your chances right there. 🙂

TIL (Today I Learned): Massachusetts has the lowest rate of road fatalities by population and per mile of any state.
