My office is on Pacific time but I live on Eastern time. Our clients work within every time zone you can imagine. My boss and favorite brother has no concept of time. Obviously. He’s a night owl like me — but forgets I’m still 3 hours ahead of him.
Right now, Perry’s schedule is crazy — and I do mean crazy bad. Ben and Coco are here 3 weekends a month… most of the time. Katie is here a LOT. And finally, my dogs require a ton of attention at times they determine. And I’m just hitting the big stuff here.
It feels like it might be impossible to develop a routine… much less keep one.
All this translates to eating dinner sometimes at 11:30 PM and going to bed after 2:00 AM only to be awakened by dogs that want out by 7:00 AM and to be served breakfast directly afterward. I’ve been running on 4-5 hours sleep a night for way too long and it’s time to do something about it.
Starting tomorrow — Monday — I’m going to start fresh.
I’m going to ease into something different. I figure I have a better chance at success if I transition a little at a time rather than trying to do a major flip of lifestyle. There are certain things that I have no control over. Like… dogs gotta pee — but there are other things I can modify.
In the meantime, we’re gearing up for another warm day. With wind. There’s ALWAYS wind when it’s warm in February in Indiana. Sheesh!
