Beautiful start to the day… sun is shining and it’s above 60°. But just like about every single day, there’s a severe weather threat. We have a moderate to high risk for wind and hail — and a slighter threat of a tornado.
Here in southern Indiana, we have a lot in common with Mawsynram Village in India. It is officially the wettest place on earth. But unlike here, the temps are moderate year round. I should probably just move there. 🙄
Visitors.
Mr. Red Fox needs a name since he’s a regular visitor. He’s here every night between 1:00 and 2:00 AM. Remember the Disney cartoon fox named Tod whose best friend was Copper the dog? I’m thinking Tod is as good a name as any for my new buddy.
Hummingbirds have also started coming around. There aren’t many yet, but I’ve had a couple over the last few days. No sign of last year’s regular, Brad, so far. I’m sure he’ll be here soon.
My favorite granddaughter was here over the weekend too. I have to fight the dogs for her attention… we all love her so much!
My son and granddaughter are my primary reasons for staying put and not packing for a move to India — and those pesky neighbors too, of course. I guess I’ll just prepare for the possibility of severe weather and be grateful. 🙂
TIL (Today I Learned): The moon is 1/400th the size of the sun, but is also 1/400th the distance from Earth. That’s why they appear to be the same size in the sky. This is a coincidence not shared by any other known planet-moon combination.
