ain’t technology — and nature — amazing?

Here I am… rural America and miles from any larger town/city. But I can get Walmart delivery! Since I’d rather take a stick in the eye than go grocery shopping, non-delivery was on the “con” side of the list for moving here. That’s no longer a dirty mark because Cody dropped off my selections with a smile.

Technology is amazing, right?

So I get a text that the order is on the way with a link to track the progress on the map. I can watch my camera and see when they pull in the drive. Frozen stuff doesn’t sit and wait and I don’t have to go to Walmart. Win! The only difference is the white car with a sunroof on the map was really a green pick up truck.

Nature is amazing…er! 😉

I have a young wood pecker that visits the back yard every day. Not big enough to peck on a real tree, the lil’ guy pecks away on this wanna be tree that’s more like a twig. (Not a great photo with iPhone zoom.)

We’ve gotten a bit of rain lately. The pool water is down to 78 degrees and it’s COLD. I know this because I actually got in yesterday before the afternoon bout of rain and swept the thing. Our remote cleaner, Robbie, wasn’t cooperating and I got tired of foolin’ with him.

Rain sure makes the ole’ creek full and muddy.

Now you know: In 2021, there was a federal lawsuit filed against Walmart concerning a stainless steel travel mug bought there. After mango juice had been in the mug for around 10 days, in which fermentation happened, a woman removed the top. It propelled into her face causing jaw injuries.
