For the first time in history, US national dept tops $34,000,000,000,000.00. If you’re like me, you had to count back the clusters of 3 zeros to arrive at $34 TRILLION dollars. The fact that your country owes its creditors that much money — and the fact that it remains on the same unsustainable path — should be alarming.

Typing this early, it hasn’t started snowing yet but it is forecasted and I’m already getting excited. It might be for no good reason, we all know how reliable forecasts are. Frigid temps without snow are like cereal without milk. Pretty darned bland.
