it’s a frosty morning and i feel sorry for everyone

Feb 7, 2024

So far this nippy morning, I’ve escorted Dharma off the porch, fed the puppies breakfast and brushed my teeth and hair. Morning coffee in hand, I checked email before my mind started to wander. Ever have a morning where you’re sad for a whole bunch of people for a whole bunch of different reasons?

Merida doesn't feel sorry for anyone.

Moving sucks — even when you’re doing it because you want to.

Katie has 2 days left to work and although she’s excited for her move, packing is awful. For those of you who have moved, you know it’s a difficult chore.

I even feel sorry for my favorite brother because he’s moving to a house with only a bath and a half. Please note that this is the same brother who, when I moved to Seymour, said he was happy I finally had a “real” house. Yes, that hurt my feelings — I loved the small home I raised my kid in. Oh, and it had two full bathrooms. 😉

I would’ve taken that comment without pause if I was moving from this place. Not just because I care less about the opinions of others as I grow older — but also because it’s not exactly a “real house.”

I can’t help but have sympathy for those who are sick — and caring for the sick.

Like NaLona, for example, whose Momma is in bad shape and whose brother, Mac, is in the hospital and not doing well. And like Julie… whose dog is dying of cancer — and Perry… who has some kind of flu bug.

I even feel bad for the pesky neighbors because their main TV took a shit and the one ordered won’t be here for another week.

It’s time to snap out of pity party mode!

Pity party behind me, know that if things aren’t currently going your way, I said a prayer for you this morning.

Now you know: Some mattresses literally have fiberglass in them. CA is the only state in the US to have banned this practice – as of October 2023.
