occasionally, cheaper is better

Mar 30, 2024

Not long ago, I tried to save money on a rug pad and it was a huge mistake. I ate a couple hundred dollars for that error because I then ordered the one I should’ve purchased in the first place.

Next, I ordered a hand-held vacuum that was much cheaper than the one I have and love… and that too, was a huge mistake. I gave it to the Pesky neighbors and ordered another just like the one I have at the higher price.

I swore I wasn’t going to try to save money by going on the cheap ever again.

But… since the upstairs shower has two separate heads (one on each side of the enclosure), I didn’t want to spend a lot replacing the head I don’t always use. Instead of spending $300 or so for a Moen (my typical choice), I instead spent $39 bucks at Amazon on some no name brand instead.

It’s amazing! This cheap shower head is better than the ones I’ve purchased in the past that were over $350. Yes, seriously.

You get what you pay for is a myth… sometimes. 😉

It’s not always true that when you pay more you get a superior product. I don’t know if I just got lucky or shower heads are an exception to the rule. Either way, it’s a great product that was MUCH cheaper than similar alternatives.

Now you know: Murphy, a disabled eagle who has lived at the World Bird Sanctuary in Missouri for the past 31 years, thought a rock was an egg and viciously protected the nest. A young eaglet fell from its nest also in Missouri, needed a home, and ended up replacing the rock. Murphy finally got to be a dad. ❤️
