Sunday is the day of rest. But because it’s spring, I’ll be resting my butt on the seat of a lawnmower today. It’s amazing how quickly growing grass can get ahead of you in springtime.
You have to plan yardwork between days of rain.
Even if that first sunny day — after days of rain — falls on Sunday, you mow and whack weeds anyway. Summer chores don’t care what day it is.
And although I might complain about it, I am grateful that I’m not worrying about Russia moving a supersonic missile warship near rural Crothersville. There’s no threat of drone attacks and weather is the only reason we’re ordered to take shelter around here.
