she just moved and now likes dogs and Trump

Jul 26, 2024

My sweet Nanny was born in 1911. She passed away at age 98 in 2009. That would make her 113 years-old if she were alive today.

Do you believe in reincarnation?

I was sent the screenshot on the left (thanks, Amber!) with the comment, “Imagine my surprise seeing this person post in a fb group I’m in. 😡” The screenshot on the right was taken less than 3 hours later after my Nanny moved from Louisiana to Florida.

Nanny loved birds… but dogs? Not so much. I would guess she’d never heard of Morgan City, Louisiana, and to my knowledge, she hadn’t visited West Palm Beach, Florida. She would never post a photo of Trump on a lawnmower rolling over Biden. And for sure she wouldn’t have shared photos of baboons.

Maybe she changed her name to reinvent herself.

After Nanny changed her name to Pearl, she shared a chocolate chip cookie recipe with a photo of the yummy morsels on Facebook/Meta. My mouth dropped open when I saw the comment left by Mr. Wrutherford:

fake facebook post

I’m not sure how I feel about my 113 year-old deceased grandmother having eclairs with a guy from Franklinton, Louisiana. Especially when his profile says he likes to eat food out of cans and looks like this:

fake man

Who knew she was so upset by Ear Clear Plus!?

In 2022, my reincarnated Nanny, AKA Pearl, left an unbiased review about Ear Clear Plus, a capsule that claims to reduce inflammation that affects people’s ability to hear. She was pretty deaf when she died at 98… and it looks like that didn’t get better for her in the afterlife.

Amber reported the profile and profile photo 3 times. I reported it under every category I could think of and it’s still out there. Meta/Facebook says it’s a-ok in their book.

“We’ve taken a look and found that the profile doesn’t go against our Community Standards.”

Now you know: Winston Churchill lived to the age of 90, despite smoking and drinking to excess as well as being overweight.
