In the effort to improve my morning routine, I relaxed outside yesterday morning rather than sitting down at the computer first thing. I didn’t get up earlier than I typically do — my focus is on modifying what I do once I get up.

I know certain weather conditions will require that I substitute something in place of enjoying nature and fresh (albeit hot) air as a part of my morning routine. But for now, it works as an activity I can do INSTEAD of something else. Because I’m a night owl, “real” walking or exercise is reserved for early afternoon or evening. I might try to revise that at some point, because a short trip to the mailbox wasn’t so horrible. 🙂

I’m removing time in a computer chair from my morning routine.
No more reading the latest world news with my AM coffee. I’m pretty sure anything I might learn early can wait an hour or two. While this may seem like a tiny adjustment, eliminating negative news first thing when I wake up sounds like it might give me a better outlook on the day ahead. I’m testing the theory anyway. 🙂
What are you adding or eliminating from your morning routine to help you better navigate your day with positivity?
