The last two days I spent the afternoons each day taking sickies to doctors. My dogs are used to me being here during the day and when I’m not, they evidently can’t behave. When I got home, Dharma had been released from the bedroom (the door was shut and a chair was in front of it), and her hair was everywhere! I’m not sure which dog (or both) decided picking on the old girl was a good idea, but I’m totally pissed over it.
They didn’t deserve the toy I brought home to them!

Dharma has never, ever, taken up for herself. Now that she’s old, she can’t hold her own with 2 active dogs. It’s time to create a new set of dog rules for when I need to be gone. Merida will be in crate jail because I’m certain she’s the one who sprung Dharma from the bedroom. I have a whole lot of appointments coming up, so I’ve got to figure out a workable solution.
Tornado on the ground?
The town’s sirens were going crazy yesterday morning. My phone pinged a warning about a tornado on the ground south of Seymour. South of Seymour is ME. Being a true midwestern girl, I walked outside to look at the sky instead of hiding in the bathtub. The sky was clear and there wasn’t even a slight breeze. I guess there was a weak tornado north of here, but the Ville was safe.
Then I took Mom to the dentist…
The obligatory selfie – back again for amusement.

Cousin and friend, Jerilyn, had the same surgery yesterday that I did last week. The only difference was mine was on my forehead, and hers was on her temple. She was using that same bottle of baby oil and iodine that I was using — both of us working on a tan together some 5 decades ago. The only upside to her procedure is that I didn’t have to take her. 😉
No appointments tomorrow, thank goodness. I need a break — and so do the hounds. We’re all looking forward to it!
Now you know: Denver, CO has an official mayor’s residence that no mayor has ever lived in. It was donated to the city in 1998 and none of the 5 mayors since that time has opted to move in.
