My g/f in Scipio was sending me text messages late yesterday afternoon about the rain they were getting — almost an inch — and we got just a few drops. It’s not like we don’t have enough wet ground already… but crazy that no farther apart than we live, the conditions are so very different.
Plants, grass and trees are thriving!
The grass all got mowed over the weekend, (thanks, Perry!), so if the forecast is correct that we can expect more rain, at least that’s done. It’s been so humid that we’ve been under a heat advisory for several days — and we’ve got 3 more incoming. I love the heat… but the closeness of the air makes being outside pretty darned miserable.
Dharma doesn’t care if it’s hot.
Dharma has more hair than the other 2 dogs combined, but she loves the sun. Because she’s older, I entice her back inside with the promise of a treat or she’d stay out there forever.
Time to get serious with the diet.
So far I’ve gained 2 pounds on the fat chicks diet so it’s time for me to get serious or wave the white flag. I’m just not motivated, y’all! I’ve been promising myself that on Monday (today), I’ll get on that treadmill or walk outside daily. This week I’m not scheduled at 100 appointments, so maybe… just maybe… I can get in a better frame of mind.
