I got up this morning and put a pork tenderloin in the crockpot with potatoes, carrots, and onions. It was already smelling GREAT in the house when the wind kicked up and the electricity went off.
And then I forgot to turn the crockpot back on. 🥴
Once the electric came back on, I didn’t even THINK about turning the crockpot back on. It was a couple hours later when I realized that my dinner was no longer cooking. It put me a couple hours behind but we had jelly beans!
Candles lit and ready for the awful weather that’s supposed to make it here around midnight or so.
Ugly weather makes me nervous.
I’ve never been a fan of wind and I have to admit, not once at the Seymour house did we worry about it. That house is all brick and you couldn’t even hear the wind blowing outside. Sitting here surrounded by metal and trees, the sounds when it storms are not something easily ignored.
