Hugo is the dog of the day!
Hugo is the youngest of the barndo bunch. If not for the fact that he will bite (he has fear aggression), he would be considered the easiest dog in the pack. A rescue that found me, this was on the day he made it to his new home:
He was in awful shape… starving to the point of barely being able to walk. Now, it takes an hour for him to eat a meal, and even that requires a whole lot of theatrics just to get food in his belly.
Hugo’s quirks & high-points:
- Hugo is the most calm and loving dog! But he only loves 3 people, and tolerates only one other. This leads to…
- He will bite. Dr. Rennekamp has already said he would require tranquilizing to bring to the vet’s office. He quivers in fear when anyone visits and so long as I sit by him, he won’t attack. Wave your arms around and he’ll nail you.
- Hugo loves toys. He wants to play tug of war with Merida along with humans, and is constantly losing a ball under the couch.
- He’s a happy little dude that doesn’t like car rides.
- He’s the only dog I’ve ever, EVER, had that hasn’t chewed on a single thing. He’s not eaten a single mattress and has never put his teeth on an item of furniture. Every shoe remains untouched.
