When weather permits, I love having my morning coffee while reading a book. I subscribe to Kindle Unlimited. While I can read on all my devices — phone, iPad, laptop, etc. — one device stands out above all the rest.
The Kindle Paperwhite.
No matter how sunny it is, there’s no glare. None. Nada.
My first digital reader was a Nook. It had no backlight for reading in the dark so I bought this battery powered light that clipped on the top. It was awful!
Digital e-readers aren’t the same anymore!
I currently have the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, but there are cheaper options available. And as a heads up, Amazon consistently discounts it’s first-party devices during Prime Day — historically ranging from 20-42% off. Amazon Prime Day takes place from Tuesday, June 23, 2026, through Friday, June 26, 2026.
