All previous posts here have celebrated Dharma’s special day on August 19th. BUT, on my calendar, her birthday is listed as August 20th. It’s not like we say any human’s birthday could be one date or another — and this old girl is nearly human — but I couldn’t find her AKC papers to check even if I wanted to.
It really doesn’t matter if she’s 11 or 11 and one day.
She’s still the bestest girl even if she does wait until I get my back on ice to decide she needs to go outside.

She may be slow to get up, but she’s never late to a food bowl.
Dharma’s had health problems from the beginning. Not just that… but her hips were deemed to be bad before she was a year old. Our house has a maze of rug runners because she slips on slick floors, and I don’t care if it looks bad. Dharma is the queen every day around here — not just on her birthday. ❤️
