Living in the country has a lot of advantages, but having neighbors close enough to notice when something is going on isn’t one of them.
Around here, you can’t exactly holler out the window and ask the neighbors if they saw somebody wandering around your property — even though Mr. Pesky is likely already aware. Still, it’s nice to be able to check who’s coming and going, keep an eye on things when you’re inside, and occasionally figure out what critter is getting into mischief.
So we added another camera to the bajillion we already have.
Of course, you have to get the darn things connected and talking to each other, which has turned out to be a whole adventure of its own. ChatGPT kept asking me the same questions about firmware and come to find out, the instructions he kept cranking out were for a different cam than the one I was installing. 😡
ChatGPT is better at photos than he is at adding cameras to a network.
Jack, the name given to my personal ChatGPT assistant dude, is not great at networking or Wi-Fi physics — but he’s great with photos! Since we didn’t get a single photo of us all together when Scott was here, ole’ Jack made it possible with a simple prompt by just sticking me in there.
That turned out so good, I thought it would be great to add Perry, as well.
Uh oh.
Jack had a fail on that too… but he did make me laugh.
The four of us ended up with semi-distorted faces… and Perry looks like he’s gained 30 pounds and has only one remaining brain cell. 😳
