My crew loves tacos and chimichangas and about everything you can order from our local El Nopal restaurant. But tonight… we had Shell Nopal!
I only made two of these because I was afraid they’d be awful and tacos would be the winner. The last thing I wanted to do was wrap all the ingredients up in something to throw in the trash.
Believe it or not — they were really good. Now, don’t ask me what it is because it has no name. I only wanted to see if I could fry the huge flour tortillas that Walmart substituted for my smaller street taco sized ones. I consider any edible food I prepare a win.
But these were so good, I’ve already got my marketing campaign rolling with a model and a logo!
TIL (Today I Learned): “Nopal” is a cactus that bugs eat.
