it’s looking a LITTLE bit more like fall here in southern Indiana

From my very unmotivated observation, it’s looking a LITTLE bit more like fall here at the barndo. A few trees are turning and the number of dead leaves being deposited on the ground is growing. I love the cooler nights and mornings!

starting to look like fall

After this weekend, even cooler temps will be moving in and night frost is a possibility according to forecasters.

My motivation to do just about anything is taking a break.

I’m pretty sure it’s normal to have periods of time where you just don’t feel motivated to accomplish anything. At least, I hope it’s normal because that’s a stage I’m currently experiencing. Working at Seymour house #2 and preparing to put it on the market, I feel overwhelmed.

My smile in the photo below is obviously fake, and Ben didn’t even try to pretend…

When I think about washing every window in the big old house… painting mile high ceilings… wallpapering the kitchen… laying flooring in the kitchen… I just want to go home and quit.

There’s nothing awful about any of the tasks, there are just so many of them! And all those tasks are needed to make it more attractive to a larger group of potential buyers, which of course is the goal. We’re still plugging along, but excuses for taking a day off are becoming more frequent. 🙁

Now you know: The world’s first hard drive, the IBM 350, was introduced in 1956. It was leased to companies for $37,600/month (adjusted to 2024), weighed one ton, and held 3.75 MB, about the size of a small PDF file.
