This is a fact: Trump was elected President no matter if you voted for him or not — and he made his agenda CRYSTAL CLEAR insofar as what he would do if elected as it pertains to immigration and borders. He was elected on those promises.
Like it or not, ICE is going to nab illegal immigrants.
Jimmy Kimmel can wear his shirt that says, “Donald J. Trump is gonna kill you,” to further incite violence — as well as call Stephen Miller, “Trump’s other little penis” on TV — and ICE is still gonna do what they do. Politicians and the media can blab all they want and keep citizens tore down, and ICE is gonna do what they do.
Here’s what I know…
It’s tragic that a woman was shot and killed — it was horrible.
If I was the officer in front of the car, I would like to think I’d have been getting out of the way instead of pulling the trigger, but I’m not faced with split-second, live or die decisions in my line of work. I’m not disrespected and spit on for doing my job, nor do I have people screaming obscenities in my face every single day. It’s for someone other than me — or you — to determine if excessive force was used.
What I do know – with 100% certainty — is that I would NEVER purposely roll my Mini Cooper into the road to block law enforcement activity. If the Indiana State Police came here and put ole’ Perry in handcuffs, I would NOT block the driveway with my car or my body.
The world we live in…
People are in the streets chanting “kill them all,” and worse. I watched a news clip where a woman was flapping her arms and saying something I couldn’t understand as the reporter was in the midst of recording a segment. The reporter asked, “Do you have a job?” The protester replied, “I’m getting paid right now.” By whom is what I want to know.
Is vigilantism becoming normal? Do we want to live in a culture that encourages this type of behavior?
I don’t know if the world is more chaotic than it’s ever been or if we’re more aware because of Internet connectivity.
If you want to change a law you don’t like, VOTE. Protest all you want — but follow the law even if you don’t agree with it. Of course, you’re free to disagree with me. Heck, it seems like no one can agree on anything anymore so it’s all good. 🙂
