Apparently, there are two kinds of people in the world: those who take showers and those who take baths. And according to the statistics, showers win by a pretty substantial margin.
Dharma is team bath — but she’s not team clean up the hair and scrub the tub afterward. 🙁

I’m apparently the oddball who refuses to choose a side.
For me, it depends entirely on what time of day it is.
Morning? Always a shower.
There is something about a morning shower that says, Okay, let’s get this day started. It’s efficient. It’s invigorating. And frankly, I’m not interested in soaking peacefully in a bathtub when there are things to do, dogs to feed and coffee that isn’t going to make itself.
But if I’m cleaning up before bed?
That’s a bath.
A bath at night is an entirely different experience. It’s not about getting clean and getting on with your day. It’s about slowing down and relaxing. Surveys have found that Americans generally prefer showers to baths, although the gap gets considerably smaller when people are asked which one they find more relaxing.
Then there’s the water issue.
A leisurely 15-minute shower uses about the same amount of water as a bath — roughly 40 gallons. That’s a lot of water for someone who was supposedly just going in there to get clean.
So… are you team shower… or are you team bath?
Now you know:
