I used to have a job that required me to get up early. For twenty some years I was out of bed before daylight and I’ve NEVER been a morning person, you guys. Yesterday morning I awoke before dawn (heck, I didn’t go to sleep until after 2:00 AM!) and to be honest, I’d pretty much forgotten what ‘outside’ looks like before 8:30 AM.
Not the best photo since I took it through the window (and screen) but still, I wanted to capture the fog and early September morning memory. Everyone still asleep, I couldn’t grab the tripod and I certainly didn’t want to go outside — and I didn’t have a flash handy so I bumped the ISO to 1600 and tried to be steady (3 hours sleep and no coffee in my system!). While photo quality is important in a whole lot of instances, I hope you don’t miss chances to just snap crappy photos sometimes too.
Good thing I captured this one — I’m hoping I don’t repeat this experience again for a very, very long time.
