It’s official – the NCAA Tournament is in full force.
Yesterday, Shelley’s mom and Carl (aka Dr. Death) were here for a very small Easter dinner and some game watching. The tournament didn’t disappoint us as we watched nearly three upsets happen!
First, Butler almost pulled one off on Tennessee but finally fell in overtime in a great game (much to Dr. Death’s chagrin). The Bulldogs played a heck of a game though and should be proud of the season they had.
Next, San Diego almost got Western Kentucky. Yeah I know – not really a huge upset – but they were seeded lower and it was a very entertaining game.
Finally – the biggie. Little Davidson hung the proverbial upset on number two seeded Georgetown. That is two number two seeds to go down if you’re keeping score at home (West Virginia defeated Duke earlier).
It was a lot of fun. The food and company, and some great college basketball that lived up to the title of ‘March Madness’! We all enjoyed ourselves so much and it was one of those days that you remember for years to come.
