I went shopping on Good Friday once… well… I ATTEMPTED to go shopping anyway. It happened so long ago I can’t remember the others in the car with me, but I do remember I-65 was blocked at the exit we needed to reach our destination. So many cars were wanting to hit the off ramp for the outlet mall, traffic was totally stalled. We turned around and never even made it to a store.
I’m grateful I didn’t shop this Good Friday either! It was a great day to be lazy and eat leftovers — you know, the Thanksgiving goodies on a paper plate.
Another thing I’m grateful for is that I didn’t get stuck doing all the dishes after cooking. 🙂
While I talk to my brother at least once a day, I hadn’t seen him since… oh my… I’m not sure when the last time we were physically together before yesterday. So when Tammy, my favorite sister-in-law, sent photos she took during our family time, they made me laugh.
Nothing like bonding with family over something you have in common. 🙂
My favorite brother’s birthday was yesterday — celebrated today. What a wonderful time!
Colette and Tammy giggled on the couch watching funny videos and Mom schooled Scott on motorhomes. Perry and I ate lots and Ben and Carl napped. What a party!
As always, Perry was the photographer and didn’t make the photo. (Thanks, Perry!)
My cousin, Celina, has been here for a week from Oklahoma. On her last night before returning home, one cousin increased to two when her sister, Christy, joined us.
One night of going to bed at 5:00 AM turned into TWO nights of going to bed at 5:00 AM and ONE photo taken after a few bottles of wine were consumed.
Both girls were gone before I got out of bed so I sent them the photo above via text message.
I immediately got this reply from Christy (on the left): “WTF do I look like an emoji?“
It’s a new year and I’m starting 2018 with an iPhone that is so slooooow, it’s barely usable. You know I LOVE Apple, but this is a joke. I’m evaluating options (especially after reading my brother’s post review about phones), but haven’t made up my mind just yet. It could be my brain is frozen… yes, it’s negative 6 degrees F.
To compound my Apple issues, I’m on a great Mac Pro machine that has very little hard drive space. And, what’s really crazy is upgrading the hard drive is not only expensive ($1500 bucks!), but that’s a joke too because there’s only one bay. So right now, it’s just too difficult to post photos taken with my Canon camera (no room to download from the memory card) — so I can only share crappy photos taken with my crappy phone. ARG!
Ben had Christmas at his house this year and it was awesome! The photo; however, isn’t. Still, I’m sure those pesky non-neighbors will enjoy seeing (the bottom half of) Ben’s tree.
One year when Ben was little, Scott brought in a bubble lawn mower — one that makes a ton of noise while the toddler mows the carpet 24/7. Well… he and Tammy, in true form, rolled in with the best gift ever for Colette.
