closer than they appear

closer than they appear

Life has a habit of moving way too fast — the older we get, the faster it seems to go. My birthday is in the near future, you guys. While I’m glad I keep having them, I sure wish the time between them was longer.

For the record, the only time looking in the mirror is fun is when the reflection is something other than me. 🙂

Colette climbed in Gracie’s bed talking non-stop (like always). She was telling an elaborate tale embellished with tiny baby puppy cuteness about how she remembered when Gracie was first born.

puppy love

Not exactly the story I remember… Gracie was a rescue. The vet guessed her to be around 2 years-old when we brought her home — and that was before Coco was born.

why is it exactly?

why is it exactly?

Why is it exactly that lately my son has his nose in his iPhone in every single photo? Sometimes I think he does it on purpose just to get me wound up enough to spar.

I’ll admit that I’m pretty darned good at arguing and can usually hold my own. But this guy was taught by the best and has had a whole lot of practice. He wins by perseverance.

Have to get that vitamin D from someplace… and there’s nothing that helps my back more:

get your tan on

They say tanning is bad — and it probably is. Funny how when there’s something you like, you only read the articles that agree with your opinion or make you feel better about whatever it is you’re doing.  Like… coffee is good for you — and the difference between UVA and UVB rays that makes it ok to bake.

This is especially true in politics, but I’m not going there…

Perry had a birthday in February and we did celebrate — but I forgot to share a photo! Good thing the ole’ geezer had help blowing out those candles.

happy birthday, Perry
