I don’t want to be one of those people that constantly share political viewpoints, but today I’m going make an exception and just throw my thoughts out here.
Focusing on the past.
During the Biden administration, I watched as democrats were laser focused on Donald Trump. It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you’re on, you had to see it too. It wasn’t just the 34 felony counts he was convicted on… it was how every single day the focus was on the previous president.
Currently, there’s all this focus on the autopen and the previous president, Joe Biden, by republicans. Every single day we hear that Biden wasn’t running the country and the autopen was wielded without his knowledge/consent on important bills, executive orders, and pardons.
I find it hard to believe that ANY human refuses to acknowledge Biden’s decline.
It was obvious in Biden’s personal appearance and his speech that his mental and physical health was declining. You’ll never convince me that those working with and/or living with him were oblivious to it. Fast forward to today… the dude has prostate cancer that’s spread to his bones, and he’s old. Say the outcome of these investigations by the House Oversight Committee proves Biden’s staffers controlled the autopen.
Then what?
A bajillion legal challenges trying to overturn legislation, executive orders, and memoranda? Pardons thrown out and Hunter arrested? Prosecute the sick 82-year-old? Even Ketanji Brown Jackson, whose Supreme Court commission was signed by autopen in 2022, isn’t going anywhere regardless of Biden’s mental capacity at the time. She was confirmed by Congress.
Can’t we just move on?
Good grief! There are so many current challenges that deserve attention. Most likely, investigations would serve political purposes rather than result in significant reversals. Any attempt to undo Biden’s actions would face substantial legal and practical hurdles. The seed has already been planted in the brains of Americans that it’s likely the autopen was used without a cognitively sharp president’s knowledge and/or consent. And let’s face it, Democrats have enough problems with Jasmine Crockett on their team. 🥴
I think it’s time to focus forward — and this applies to both parties. And there you have it! My unpopular political opinion for the day.
Now you know: The human gut has its own nervous system with over 100 million neurons, more than a cats brain, and it can function independently of the brain.
To all my friends who share political posts like it’s their job: You’re still my friend; however, I’d just like for you to know that I’d enjoy your opinions more if they were about your kids, grandkids, and dogs. 🙂 Am I the only one that feels this way?

People replied with photos of dogs, kids and grandkids. My buddy Alisa shared the cutest video of her grandkids ever! She even shared more photos when I asked. A classmate responded that her grandson is playing in a baseball tournament this weekend. How cool is that?
Of course, you can share whatever you want… I’m not the FB police. But when EVERY SINGLE THING you share harps on the same stuff, it wears me out. Friends I KNOW are on opposite sides of the political arena contributed… agreeing they’re tired of it too. It was fun seeing dogs I’d never seen before… and getting to enjoy videos and photos of happy kids. Yay!
My Mom should be Mayor of California.
California’s Mayor set curfew in LA last night for 8:00 PM PT to curb the violence, looting, and more. So very many people didn’t obey and were still out and about long after the deadline.
I’m telling you guys, when my Mom set a curfew, I knew I’d better pay attention. No excuse would hold up… whatever time she set, she meant ON THE DOT. If she set a curfew for me today, I’d still be too scared to be 5 minutes late. 🙂

2 minutes later, I told my favorite brother that average people are sitting around feeling like the kid of a divorce… agreeing with certain aspects from both sides and hoping holidays aren’t awkward. Less than 10 minutes later, I found out that I’m not the only one thinking along those same lines.
The Babylon Bee posted a meme that said: “Judge Determines Trump Will Get the Nation on Weekdays, While Musk Gets Every Other Weekend and Holidays.”
And then I laughed, but it’s not funny.
This is JR High stuff — there’s nothing fruitful here. Personal grievances aired on social media make me crazy when it’s local people I know — and even crazier when it’s people in power that I don’t. Elon is also calling for Trump to be impeached and replaced by JD Vance — and Polymarket has shares being offered for purchase based upon when Elon will create a new political party.
Dharma thinks that if there was a Trump indictment hiding in the Epstein files, it would’ve been used against him already.
We’re all Team USA! Right?
Before social media, this would’ve been one article about the President having a disagreement with an advisor. In today’s world, the same thing dramatically plays out in real time.
Now you know: German Shepherd Gunther IV is the world’s richest dog. He has a net worth of $500 million that he inherited from his father, Gunther III, the previous richest dog in the world.
I saw a video clip taken in California of ICE protestors. Well… not really protestors, because they were obstructing and impeding ICE operations. The ole f-bomb was being hurled every other word but what really saddened me was that one person in the unruly group was wearing an FFA jacket.
If that jacket had a corporate logo, the person would likely be fired.
Everyone — except this one chick — was wearing a tank top or a t-shirt because it topped 100° there yesterday. So why wear a corduroy jacket easy recognizable as belonging to a specific student organization? The National FFA Organization explicitly positions itself as non-political with a focus on leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
For people like myself that support the FFA AND deporting law-breaking illegals, I don’t like it. Neither did Hugo.
The older I get the more I just want peace — and the less tolerance I have for people who are disrespectful.
Now you know: Jason Brown, former NFL player, walked away from a 5-year, $37m deal to become a farmer. He maintains a 1,000-acre farm where he grows produce such as sweet potatoes and cucumbers. He donates these crops to local food pantries in need.
From a corporate exec friend on Facebook calling Trump Jr. “classless” while saying how great it would be for a building to fall on his head (that’s classy?) — to others calling for Jill Biden to be arrested for elder abuse — I’ve read more than enough. I’m sure you have too. The stupidity comes from both the left and the right.
I like Heath candy bars. Maybe you’re not a fan although I offer you a taste every time we’re together. You say no, you prefer Cookies and Cream bars and offer me a bite. We’re still friends and neither has had a change of heart. Then we talk about the weather or our kids or grandkids.
We don’t keep harping about the darned candy bars. Right? We don’t call each other ignorant or take sides over milk chocolate vs. white chocolate. It’s too bad that our choice of political party isn’t viewed in a similar fashion as our choice of a candy bar.
And the fake news?
That article that said my peony would bloom in 8-48 hours once put in water? That was a lie!
The other stems I picked for the arrangement are now dead but the darned peony still hasn’t bloomed. 😠
And then I ate the cucumbers!
I love cucumbers in salad — and on poke bowls. Gimme cucumbers with french dressing and there doesn’t even have to be lettuce to make me happy. I like them so much that I ate them twice yesterday. Of course, that was BEFORE I got my email from Walmart telling me they were recalled because of salmonella. ARG!
Could that be considered elder abuse? Asking for a friend.
