I opened a fortune cookie today (the only one Coco didn’t swipe like a thief in the night) and I thought the fortune was pretty darned insightful…
There are certainly times snarky comments can make you angry and even hurt your feelings — we’ve all been there — but those types of gouges only come from those who do not know you. Consider the source and enjoy your being.
And the whole karma thing that so often gets thrown around (pretty much boils down to for whatever one sows, that will he also reap in Galatians) should be used for self-improvement. What’s beautiful about the law of karma is that is pushes us to take a good long look at ourselves. It’s supposed to make US aware of all our thoughts, actions and words. So basically, if you think someone is suffering and call it karma… you’re not “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you” at all. And, you’re probably not seeing beauty in the mirror either.
The only thing missing from this post is my Dad — right here giving me a dramatic standing ovation. Of everyone I’ve known or know… he was the best example ever of simply being kind to everyone. Always.
