Yes, Wyze scale — I know I’m fat

Jul 30, 2020

So my Wyze scale arrived yesterday. This extremely awesome product (other than it lies) is a steal at $19.99. I have 4 of the Wyze cams and have talked about them before (read my review of them here). They are inexpensive and impressive. But this scale? It’s REALLY surpassed my expectations.

If you care about more than just how much you weigh, this scale also records a ton of other stuff too… BMI, body fat, muscle mass, body water, lean body mass, bone mass, protein, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate, heart rate and your metabolic age. Seriously. For $20 bucks.

It’s depressing that it says I’m 2 pounds heavier than my regular scale (and the Wyze scale is accurate within .75 pounds), because that means I have 2 more pounds to lose to meet my freaking goal. ARG! Ben & Jerry might forget who I even am!

And, it also means I need to spend more time on the treadmill. I would, you know, but it’s complicated…

Daily new COVID-19 cases (7 day moving average):
Indiana-12.2 (up slightly); Jackson Co – 7.8 (up); Florida 48.0 (.1 down but still topping as the worst of the worst); Nevada – 34.4 (up — although test results are taking over 3 weeks for results)

This should make all Hoosiers, Floridians, Texans, and Californians so very proud. Look at us topping the trends!

TIL (today I learned): Neck rings don’t really stretch the neck. Instead, they push the shoulders and clavicles down and removing them incorrectly may cause death because the neck muscles weaken so much they can’t support the head on their own. If you’re thinking of trying this at home, read about it here…
