a list of 10 and my primary challenge

Mar 1, 2021

We all know that a brand is what identifies one seller’s goods or services as distinct from others. What you might not know what brands are currently most valuable. They are:

  1. Apple $323 billion
  2. Amazon $201 billion
  3. Microsoft $166 billion
  4. Google $165 billion
  5. Samsung $62 billion
  6. Coca-Cola $57 billion
  7. Toyota $52 billion
  8. Mercedes $49 billion
  9. McDonald’s $43 billion
  10. Disney $41 billion – 8% drop in brand value in 2020

Any of them surprise you? Are any in the list in a different position that you expected they might be? Because of COVID, I personally thought McDonald’s would’ve risen higher — but understand why Disney declined. With Microsoft and Google neck-in-neck (if you consider a billion dollar spread minimal), I also found it interesting that there’s a cool 100 billion between #4 on the list and #5, Samsung.

“We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that’s not changing. We are here to make the best products on earth, and to leave the world better than we found it.”

On to my personal, primary challenge…

That would be… without a doubt… SLEEP. How to get some. How to fall into it and how to stay that way.

This is what I see at 2:00 AM:

Dharma at 2:00 AM

And, this is what I see AFTER I’m woken up at the butt crack of dawn and after a trip outside and being served breakfast:

“We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make our Mom stay awake 20 hours per day every day and that’s not changing.”
