My favorite cousin, Jerilyn, just got home yesterday after a long weekend trip to Vegas. She was telling that she awoke early one morning in search of coffee. She was one of the few ‘out an about’ when CDC’s mask mandate announcement became the buzz.
“Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting.”
She knew something was up when she noticed people were tossing their masks into trash containers. A quick look at latest news on her phone and she knew why. She said by the end of the day, trash containers were full of masks and bare teeth were flashing everywhere.
I figure the next few days will be a decent indicator of what happens next when it comes to COVID-19.
I already know what’s going to happen next around here. People that love coconut will be eating Southern Pineapple cake made with love by moi.
I made Mr. Peskie an appointment at OrthoIndy and am not able to go with them. I figure no matter what comes next in the lumbar challenge, that cake will either make him feel better… or give him something else to bitch about. Either way it’s a win. 🙂
Pretty sure I’m morphing into my Nanny. Baking, growing flowers and not sleeping at night are traits of hers I never thought I’d possess. But here I am killing it — doing those three things like a boss. Peep the blooms on this baby…
COVID-19 risk percentages (so we can compare): Florida – 15.3; Indiana – 12.6; Nevada – 11.9. Lowest risk is California (4.1) followed by Hawaii — highest risk is Alabama (26.6) followed by Rhode Island.
TIL (Today I Learned): The lowest point in the continental US, Death Valley, and the highest point, Mt. Whitney, are less than 100 miles apart.
