I purchased these dog-toy pigs that make a ‘grunting’ noise when squeezed or dropped. There have been a couple times that I’ve thought one of the dogs was about to puke — sorta’ like the gagging sound made before a mess appears on the floor — but it was just a little piggy.
The reason it’s important to mention the little piggy today is because Merida thought it was a great idea to bring it to bed. At 3:30 AM ET this morning, she rolled over on the pig and almost gave me a heart attack. Before bed, I’d watched a full season of 60 Days In, and immediately thought someone was about to shank me. (Pretty sure you can watch for free with the above link.)
The first two seasons of 60 Days In was filmed in the Clark County jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Basically, ‘normal’ people are incarcerated as undercover prisoners for 60-days with only a few staff members aware of the program. They are there to obtain evidence of any illegal/improper activities (by staff or inmates) to help improve overall jail conditions. The Indiana seasons first aired in 2016.
I learned I never EVER want to go to county lockup; inmates eat a lot of tater tots; and after 30-days everyone loses at least 50% of their brain cells. It’s similar to what happens to hound dogs when they get a pig of their own…
TIL (Today I Learned): Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker, wasn’t happy with just the money adoring fans were spending on Elvis merchandise in the 50’s. He figured he could also cash in by selling “I hate Elvis” and “Elvis is a jerk” buttons — a next-level advertising project that covers all bases. (Hmmm… 3 guesses what’s crossing my mind right now. 🙂 )
