I check Zillow multiple times every single day and last night I noticed a house that interested me enough to call the realtor. She said she received eight offers in the first hour — all based solely on Internet photos. We chatted about how frustrating it is for buyers and she agreed. She said contingency offers are non-existent in this market. If you receive cash offers for an “as is” purchase (you fix nothing) — especially when it’s above asking price — you’re not going to consider any offer that is “upon the sale of my house.” The property sold for about $50k more than the listing price.
Not lucky for me but it is what it is. Already the proud owner of more than one house, I don’t want to add another without selling one first. That means I have to figure out what to do with two big dogs for showings when my transportation is a Mini Cooper. AND, it also means I have to figure out where to live with two big dogs until I either find something or build something.
Hitting the lottery would’ve solved all those problems. Perry did his part by picking up 5 quick-pick Mega Millions tickets. I was sorta’ counting on that $405 million dollars.
In five tickets he had NOT ONE WINNING NUMBER. Not one. Zilch. Nada. While I might be unlucky finding and buying a new property, Perry still takes first place as the unluckiest person on the planet earth.
He also picked up five Power Ball tickets that will be drawn later tonight. That jackpot is $457 million. Maybe he was just holding out for that and the Mega Millions was just practice. Knowing his luck, I’m wondering if I should just throw them away now knowing they’ll be losers. 😉
TIL (Today I Learned): Osama bin Laden had 53 siblings. His father, Mohammed, died in a private plane crash in the 60s, leaving behind more than 20 wives.
