After counting the days to my house closing, the date was changed. It’s happening FIVE DAYS earlier.
Homeless in less than a week.
It’s doubtful the closing on the house I’m purchasing can be moved up to accommodate the change. A survey there to add some additional ground will require filing of a quit claim to the sellers before it can go to me as a buyer. I’m grateful for the Peskies… they would never let me starve or live on the streets. Unless I was an addict… if that were the case, neither of them would remember my name.
He smiles. I scowl.
Packing is underway and I’m a hot mess. I stress as I’m putting things I want to take along in boxes. Perry helped last night and his attitude is the total opposite. As he discovered items that had long been out of sight he said, “Wow! This is a trip down memory lane!”
He was right. I uncovered a blast from the past. My girl scout dress, sash with patches earned, and even my bible from christening.
TIL (Today I Learned): The British Pound is the oldest currency in the world, it has been used for over 1,200 years and dated back to Anglo-Saxon era. Back then it equivalent to 1 pound of silver. One pound back then could buy you 15 cows.
