A whole lot of stuff has happened over the past months. Some enjoyable and memorable moments… but a whole lot of extremely stressful and challenging ones too.
The major events — the ones that go into ‘Shelley’s Useless Record Book’ are:
- July 30, 2022: the barndo offer was made
- August 12, 2022: we closed the sale of the Seymour house
- September 10, 2022: we moved into the barndo
- October 13, 2022: we closed on the barndo purchase
I could include “day I thought the barndo would explode into flames” and “found first mouse in the house” as major events — they certainly were — but figure those might be dates I’d prefer to forget. 😉
Summer is better than winter at the barndo.
I guess summer is better than winter anywhere, right? But here, it’s even more important because outside is better than inside. We only had a taste of summer since we moved here early September, but still had enough awesome outside days to enjoy to make us yearn for more.
Spring is coming…
We’ve yet to experience spring here and I can’t WAIT to go to war on the outside. I can’t wait to mow grass and clean up the property and dig in the dirt! In the meantime, we’ll just keep chugging along and enjoy whatever weather Mother Nature has in store. 🙂
TIL (Today I Learned): At the second Tour de France, the first four finishers were disqualified because they took the train.
