Dharma is the most loving dog ever. While Merida is non-stop bouncing around going 100 MPH, Dharma is slow and easy. They couldn’t be more different!
Both dogs were outside with me almost all day. I rearranged the deck furniture and repotted at least 5 plants. Next, I dug up two trees that were growing too close to the barndo that had been left too long. (Those suckers were bigger around than my thumb and had roots that probably reached to the driveway of those pesky neighbors.) I did a little weed eating and collected starts from plants for Mom.
During all that time, Merida was chasing birds and in constant motion — and Dharma was stretched out in the sun.
The second I would sit down to take a break, Dharma was right there demanding attention. 🙂
Her antics reminded me of a time I kept Jonathan (Jerilyn & Tader’s Johnathan) overnight when he was a little feller. He was apprehensive about being away from him Mom so I laid down with him. Every time my eyes closed as I was drifting off to sleep, he would grab both sides of my face and say, “Look at me, Sheldy!”
If Dharma could talk, I think that’s what she would be saying too. But once Perry came outside, she turned her attention to him…
She can kiss him and do the suck up routine and I still know — with 95% certainty — that she loves me more. ❤️
