project fatties part duex

Jul 8, 2023

Jerilyn, Katie, and I created a weight loss group between just the three of us at this same time last year. On Thursday, we resurrected the project. The loser pays for dinner at St. Elmos. Jerilyn lost last year and I’m hoping for the same result this time around too. 😉

I seriously wouldn’t care if I weighed 200 pounds if my back wasn’t one that belongs to some 100 year-old fatty… but because it’s currently jacked, I joined in the “fun.” Treadmill, diet dressing, no bread or potatoes, blah blah blah. And then… I get in the pool and do exercises for 30 minutes or so instead of floating around on a raft.

Mom isn’t in the trio of fatties, but she supervised the water stretches.

Carl’s already lost a bunch of weight since he had a diabetes scare. He has willpower, that’s for sure. He can still make a big ole’ splash when he wants to though.

Ben showed up for swimming round #2 along with Perry, but no photos were taken. My fingers were too shriveled to take pictures.

If it doesn’t rain, there’s lots to do today.

The yard needs to be mowed first and foremost if it doesn’t rain. Once that chore is done, I have lights that need to be hung and a few people coming to swim later in the afternoon if it’s nice. Here’s hoping for another pretty, hot, and sunny day ahead! 🙂

Today I Learned: Men lose weight faster than women. (I knew that already.) Scientists say the way men’s bodies are built and even where they store fat helps them lose weight more easily than women — and men have larger reductions than women on other measures linked with better health, such as a lower heart rate and less body fat as well as a decreased risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome.Â
