scary noises and photoshop fails

Mar 11, 2024

Before I get into the scary noises here at the barndo, let me first share a photo taken at dusk last night…

dusk over a field in southern indiana

Pretty, right? It’s been raining so much we’ve barely seen the sun rise or set. 🙂

Something creepy going on at the barndo – secret revealed.

For the past several days, I’ve been hearing noises coming from the east side of the barndo. The office/family room is on the west side but the noise was so loud, it made the dogs bark. Whatever was making that noise sounded like it was either in the house, or trying to get in. But every single time I searched for its origin, the noises stopped.

I even opened the door to the room with the suntan bed and treadmill expecting to see an opossum living in there!

Perry just happened to be in the kitchen at the exact right time and discovered what it was…

cardinal that's mad at herself

That bird right there could see herself in the storm door and kept attacking her image. Not sure if she thought that “other bird” was going to eat her seeds, but she’s the culprit. Again… it’s been going on now for DAYS!

Now what do I do? I dunno.

And finally, photoshop fails are everywhere!

Have you read about the latest Kate Middleton conspiracy theories? Although I’m not a royal family follower, I do keep up with the news and found it most interesting because it involves photos and Photoshop.

Kate had abdominal surgery and hasn’t been seen or photographed since Christmas. That is… until the account of the Prince & Princess of Wales posted on social media yesterday. But wait — the photo was so obviously manipulated (photoshopped) that international photo agencies (like the Associated Press) refused to distribute it.

Of course, that’s led to more conspiracy theories — and it didn’t help she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. 😯

Now you know: In Iceland, you cannot name your child whatever you want. You can only use a name that appears on an official list of approved Icelandic names. But it is possible to apply to a committee for permission to use a name which is not yet listed.
