Merida is doing her best to keep me on the move during this fat girls diet challenge. She’s currently on a digging kick under one of the shrubs by the deck. She can lie and say she hasn’t been there… but it’s obvious when she fibs.
What’s salad without cheese?
Weight Watchers hates cheese more than I love it. A fresh salad is always good — but it sure gets old when you eat it for a filler so often.
Trying to change it up, here’s my latest go to dressing to help me forget about cheese:
Lemon-Dijon Dressing
1/4 cup lemon juice (from about 1 1/2 lemons)
1 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon honey (or sugar to make vegan)
1/3 cup olive oil
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
In a small jar or measuring cup, shake or whisk the lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, salt and pepper. Once mixed, shake or whisk olive oil into jar in steady stream until emulsified.
Now you know: The largest swimming pool in the US was so large, lifeguards needed rowboats to patrol it. Fleishhaker Pool, built in San Francisco in 1924, measured 1,000 x 150 feet, contained 6.5 million gallons of water, and could hold 10,000 swimmers. In 1999 it was turned into parking for the zoo.
