Still no “I’m all done” checkmark on the room that keeps on giving at Ben’s house. I mentioned we’re prepping it to sell, and that means fresh paint pretty much everywhere. It also meant sanding the floor in this room that’s just off of the kitchen. Before staining and sealing those wood floors, first came paint.
Ben didn’t paint this room after moving in. It was the same tan that someone else chose — the only thing he used the room for was to store an older couch and coffee table.
I’m a non-certified paint mixologist.
Trying to use up paint we already had, we painted the closet a darker (nocturnal) blue and purchased a french gray for the walls. But Home Depot screwed up and gave us the paint without the color mix. Soooo… I put some of that blue in with the white and voila!
All that’s left before the checkmark is clean-up, hanging the curtains, finishing the floors, and installing the quarter round. Good grief — that’s still a LOT left to do!
Next up is the 1/2 bath. It should be quick and easy since it’s small, and we’ve already painted the ceiling and the walls below the chair rail.
