Let me start by saying this… if you would dump a puppy to starve or get eaten by a coyote, you are a horrible person.
There’s a spot on my county road that is a haven for animals.
I know this because on our daily walk, Mr. Pesky and I saw a critter a couple days ago down near the creek. It was a cat. The next day, in this exact spot, Ben and I saw a critter. We drove down to it… and it too was that cat. Then yesterday, in that same exact spot, the cat became a starving puppy.
He growled and showed his teeth at that pesky neighbor, and then the bag of bones followed me back to the house and got dinner. Next was a bath and a 6 hour nap wrapped in a towel. I was thinking about his siblings… I’m sure they’re out there somewhere.
Then I saw a FB post that looks like a bro found a safe spot for last night too.
Not sure yet if we’re keeping the little dude, but I’m not going to let him starve. Ben has been thinking about names and Skindiana Bones is the favorite so far. 🙄
Now you know: Only 10% of the animals received by shelters have been spayed or neutered.
