Puppy Hugo’s “gotcha” date is 11/1/24 and his 1 week anniversary is today. I’m sleep deprived. It’s so much worse than when I had a baby years and years ago. In just short of a week, he’s filling out nicely. The bones that stuck out of the back of each hip aren’t nearly as visible now.

The fundamental problem with this new addition is that he is terrified of a crate.
He chews on the crate bars and can somehow get the bottom tray scooted out. He shreds anything in there that’s intended to make him comfortable. Listen, I’m not a “crate your dog” person. But there are times that an hour or so in a crate — or even overnight for a puppy — is necessary.
After the vet said he was likely starved before dumping, I wonder if he was just left in a crate without food and water. Sad, isn’t it? But things are looking up for Hugo!

He’s got 2 fabulous sisters and doesn’t need to worry about his next meal.
Now you know: Abraham Lincoln is in the Wrestling Hall of Fame. He fought in over 300 matches and lost only one, to a local tough named Hank Thompson during the Black Hawk War of 1832.
