April is the month that everything is due for me — at least that’s what I THOUGHT.
Property taxes are due May 10th, not April 10th!
My homeowners and car insurance hit near the first of the month. Plates for my cars are also due in April. We all know what April 15th means — and I’m not one that has ever, EVER, gotten a refund.
For some reason, I had it in my head that property taxes were due on April 10th… so I paid those too. Talking to Mom on the phone she mentioned she had to pay hers and I told her she was LATE! But no! 🙄
Oh, well. They’re paid and we aren’t going to starve, so it’s all good.
It’s a shame that the promise of spring is mired by work and bills.
While I love that things are getting green and warm weather is right around the corner, it also means there’s a whole lot of work outside in front of us to get ready to enjoy summer.
Here at the barndo, the flower beds are a wreck and the leftover wood needs to be stacked. The pool will need to be opened at some point soon — and that’s a JOB. I have to repaint the deck and at least a bajillion other things.
And I have to clean the storm door multiple times every day…
It’s a good thing I’m retired.
