I posted recently about how you “get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.” While I still stand by that — there are times that it’s pretty darned hard not to throw a fit when what you get is so very far from your expectations.
There’s a lesson in every experience, they say, and from this project experience I learned that you should only hire painters to paint.
There’s a ‘slop sink’ in the utility room but it’s never been so sloppy, and my ironing board cover (on the right) is a goner. Sadly, this isn’t the only place in the house that will require lots of attention over the next few days.
Onward to new experiences and new life lessons — and to scrubbing wood trim with a soapy steel wool pad. 🙂
