the earth is old and mother nature is crazy

the earth is old and mother nature is crazy

Mother Nature has had a very long time (old earth proponents say the secular age of the earth is 4.543 billion years — young earth proponents say the biblical age of the earth is about 6,000 years) to figure out her job and she’s still struggling to get it right in Indiana.

  • It was 70 degrees on Thursday.
  • A mere 2 days later, (today), it’s 32 degrees and snowing right here in good ole’ Seymour, Indiana.

snowing again

Given such a long time to perfect experiences from a given occupational duty, one could reasonably expect a better performance outcome.

I sure hope Mother Nature has her act together by spring.

now we’re talkin’

now we’re talkin’

Snowing now and not expected to stop for awhile — still not much accumulation predicted — but I sure love me some snow.

it's snowing

Because today is Martin Luther King Jr. day, my phone’s not ringing off the hook as many have the day off. Me? I’m trying to digitally organize my stuff… and I have a LOT of stuff.

Organizing takes time, but saves so much MORE time later on. (I know this because I looked on 3 different hard drives to find one file when it should’ve been a simple click.)

Dharma and I hope you have the day off and you use the time to organize.

First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.”
~Napoleon Hill

I love snow — wet, deep, snowman building snow that falls when it’s around 32 degrees. Mother Nature sent crackling, hard as a brick, icy stuff and put the temp here at 5 degrees.  What a screw-up SHE is!

what we go

when temps drop 30 degrees overnight…

when temps drop 30 degrees overnight…

It’s icy and it’s cold here in the City. Snow is supposed to follow the ice and there’s not a loaf of bread to buy in Seymour — not that I need bread. Or milk. Or eggs.

just a little ice

It’s Friday and I work from home.  A plus because I don’t have to brave the weather. A real problem because you can’t call-in and take the day off. Just a little skim of ice so far, and it’s already causing problems.

For the record… that’s one of the outdoor lights I have slated to replace in the spring. Sure hope no one gets impaled before then!

Guess what, you guys!

Guess what, you guys!

Christmas Eve and we have SNOW!! Yes. We have a little bit of the white stuff… enough to make it a white Christmas. Yay!

Merry Christmas Eve!
